Jaime W

Receptionist
Jaime

Jaime joined Amherst in July of 2012. She is one of our most enthusiastic receptionists! Jaime brings patience, compassion, multitasking skills and hard work to her role. She’s a small town girl, born and raised in Iroquois Ontario. After high school Jaime relocated to school in Ottawa to study the art of photography. Although Jaime focused her learning on photography, during her high school years she completed a placement at a local veterinary clinic as an assistant. So she has definitely had veterinary medicine on her mind for a while.

After several years working in photography, completing a stint as a cruise ship photographer, retail photography and a photography lab technician, she has come back to her true calling! Jaime has a true love of animals, science and medicine. She thinks quickly on her feet and is learning the ropes at Amherst very fast. Jaime unfortunately doesn’t have any pets right now, but plans to expand her family, in that respect, are definitely in her future. When she’s not working she’s still photographing, bike riding, camping, enjoying music, friends and family and visits the beach (when its not raining).

We’re taking advantage of Jaime’s great photography and computer skills. She is now our resident photographer for the hospital and assists in the maintenance of our website.

Jaime says that her experience here at Amherst “feels like family” and that this is a place she sees herself working for a long time. She says “Amherst is the best and most inviting workplace that I’ve ever worked at”. We are so pleased to have Jaime on our team. She is a great addition to Amherst!
