Grooming

Amherst provides many therapeutic grooming services including for those pets requiring medication in order to be groomed.  As we are not a grooming parlour we don’t do specialty cuts, breed specific stripping etc…

The hospital is equipped with a large, multi leveled bathtub with an adjustable hose and nozzle for bathing.  A wide variety of cleansing products, including medicated shampoos and therapeutic conditioners, as well as flea treatment shampoos are provided.  Amherst’s full size animal dryer is conveniently located adjacent to the bathtub, and is capable of accomodating large dogs.  This dryer generates a warm flow of air through the enclosure, drying the animal’s hair and making the bathing process much more efficient.
